The Monticello Opera House is performing arts and cultural center located in the heart of Monticello's downtown historic district. As one of the oldest surviving community theaters in Florida, MOH thrives today producing a year-round schedule of programming including musicals, non-musical plays, concerts featuring a variety of music genres, Murder Mystery Dinner Theater productions, diversity programming, and children's shows. The historic two-story Romanesque Rivival building was built in 1890 and serves as the civic center for Monticello and Jefferson county. The Opera House is also an active rental event venue for hosting weddings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, class reunions, business conferences, and much more.
