Southern Shakespeare Company

The Southern Shakespeare Company (SSC) is a theater company with a year-round education mission that makes Shakespeare fun and accessible to a diverse audience, cultivates an appreciation of the arts, trains theatre artists, and brings free Shakespeare to Cascades Park every spring. Our 2022-2023 season includes Julius Caesar dinner theatre, the Bardlings' Puck & the Mushy Gushy Love Potion (December 9-11, 2022), A Town Divided play and panel discussions (February 8-10, 2022), and a spring festival (May 11-14, 2023) centered on Antony & Cleopatra and featuring the Bardlings' As You Like It and a Festival Faire featuring Renaissance performers and vendors.
